Audio-Technica Launches New, Limited-Edition Star Wars Inspired Earbuds

Audio-Technica is collaborating with Disney Consumer Products and Lucasfilm to bring a unique listening experience to Star Wars fans and audiophiles alike.

The Star Wars-inspired high-fidelity wireless earbuds are stylized to represent four key characters—the Mandalorian, Grogu, Darth Vader and R2-D2. The ATH-CKS50TW2 Star Wars earbuds offer powerful, full-spectrum sound and space-age convenience.
Audio guidance features provide character-related alerts to indicate different functions including laughing, whining, and pram opening for Grogu, the iconic breathing and lightsaber sounds for Darth Vader, Amban sniper rifle and jet pack sounds for the Mandalorian, and emotive beeps and whistles for the beloved R2-D2. The ATH-CKS50TW2's Magnetic Switch technology allows users to join the earbuds together using built-in magnets to help preserve power.
"We are incredibly excited to bring our legendary audio and the galactic legacy of Star Wars together to offer these earbuds," said Manabu Aoki, President and CEO of Audio-Technica U.S. "We hope this collection of Star Wars-inspired earbuds allows users to be fully immersed in whatever character they choose."
The ATH-CKS50TW2 Star Wars earbuds offer up to 65 hours of playback - 25 hours from the fully charged headphones, plus an additional 40 hours available from the charging case - and exclusive 9 mm high-definition drivers, specially made by Audio-Technica to deliver clear, full-range audio with deep, powerful bass.

The ATH-CKS50TW2 Star Wars limited-edition earbuds will be available for a limited time while supplies last for a US MAP of $179.

George must have his eyes on a anutha new yacht or villa that he wants to buy !

Is he EVER gonna stop milkin this antiquated cash cow ?

I'm so friggin sick of hearing about MORE SW-themed stuff coming out, I just wanna puke every time I see it in a tag line.

Maybe he could at least throw in a few bags of cookies with the buds to ease the pain :D

Sorry, rant over, I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming....

George might be getting royalties, But I doubt that the guy is involved in all those licensed product. He sold everything to Disney and retired in 2012. Disney can do whatever they want with the license now. Rumors says that he couldn't handle all the heat that he got after the second trilogy and call it quits. :D
